Rosamar care home

The Building consists of three floors. There are three double rooms, five single rooms, three shower rooms, and three toilets one with a bidet. The ground floor has two lounges; each with TV, video and music system, the main lounge also has Sky TV, a dining room that opens out onto a large garden. The garden is mainly patio, with handrails for the less able residents; there are patio tables and chairs, so the clients can sit out any time. There is a large kitchen where the residents are able to prepare snacks and drinks for themselves, with staff supervision, if necessary.

The kitchen during the day is the main meeting area for staff and residents to chat and talk about the days events. The home has two cats and the staff are able to bring their dogs into the home, the residents take great pleasure in taking them out for a walk or on day trips.

The Rosamar regards each residents right to privacy as extremely important, so all the rooms can be locked. The residents are able to decorate their own room according to their personal taste, arrangements can be made to bring their own personal possessions where practical.

The Rosamar has it's own transport, and is available 24hrs, seven day a week, this enables the residents to access the community and surrounding area.

The residents have full and active life. They enjoy going out for walks with the dogs, trips to the pub, picnics and visiting the surrounding areas. The staff organises trips with the residents on a regular basis, the staff are able to take their children on these outing, and the residents enjoy seeing and chatting to them.

Skittles, local cinema, the use of the local leisure centre, were all the staff make them welcome, and the theatre

The home provides well-balanced and home cooked food; the menus are done on a daily basis. This allows the staff and the residents to choose the day's menu, taking into account the activities of the residents for that day. All the food is bought on a daily or weekly basis, so it's always fresh and only the finest produce is used. The staff are train in nutrition and diet and are aware of the importance's of a balanced diet. The residents have a fish 'n' chip take-away every Saturday night, which they all enjoy.

The residents are encouraged to use the local facilities, like the hairdressers or the optician and support is provided by the staff if it's required. A chiropodist visits the home on a monthly basis. As the home has been established for over 20 years, the residents are well known in the town and always made welcome were ever they go.

DAY CENTRE:
Some of the residents attend the local day centre, on the day they do not attend or have no day care, due to their age; they are encourage to help wit the running of their home. The staff will also arrange day's out, trips a walk in the surrounding area with the dogs, or just out for a cup of tea. Every residents have an active daily programme, taking into account their likes and need's.

SMOKING:
The home has a NO SMOKING, policy except in the rear garden.

FEES:
At present our fees are, £386.35 to £600 depending on the level of care.
The service covered by the fees includes:

  • Single or double rooms
  • All laundry, including personal
  • All meals, including snacks, fruit throughout the day, special diets, festive meals
  • Residents toiletries
